01/Introduction

Fitness information, unwound.

Learning Unwound is a personal training practice built around one idea: the client shouldn't have to become an expert in fitness to train intelligently.

There is more fitness information available now than at any point in history, and most of it contradicts itself. The work here is to take that noise and unwind it into something understandable, individualised and genuinely actionable.

One-to-one training, clear reasoning, and a plan you can explain back to someone else.

02/What I Do
Loaded barbell resting on a dark gym floor

Training built around one person at a time.

Individualised training
Sessions shaped by your body, history and schedule.
Goal-oriented programming
A structure with a destination, not a random workout.
Accountability
Consistent check-ins that keep momentum without pressure.
Technique feedback
Precise coaching on how a movement should feel and look.
Progress tracking
Evidence of change, reviewed and acted on.
03/The Approach

Interpretation, not instruction.

Good training is rarely about a secret method. It's about reading the evidence carefully, understanding the person in front of you, and translating between the two.

That translation is the service. You get the reasoning behind every decision in plain language — enough to make confident choices on your own, without needing to read a single study.

Complicated information, unwound into a practical plan.
04/Working Together
Two people in conversation in a dimly lit gym

It starts with a conversation.

The first step is an initial consultation. It works in both directions: you find out whether this way of training suits you, and I find out whether what I offer genuinely serves your goals. If it doesn't, I'll say so.

From there, the ongoing relationship is built on the things that actually move the needle — periodic progress reviews, technique feedback, and adjustments to programming as your situation changes.

05/Who I Work With

Meet people where they are.

No assumptions about your body, your age, your background or where you're starting from. The work adapts to the person, not the other way around.

Strength
Building capacity with structure and patience.
Mobility
Moving more freely, with less restriction.
Conditioning
Improving how you handle effort day to day.
Comfort in the gym
Knowing what to do and why you're doing it.
Consistency
Training that survives a real, busy life.
Returning to exercise
A considered way back after time away.
Performance goals
Specific targets, approached deliberately.
06/Why Me

Credibility in service of the work.

Qualifications matter because of what they let me do for you — interpret evidence properly, coach movement precisely, and adjust with judgement rather than guesswork.

07/Start a Conversation
Open doorway of light in a dark studio

Let's talk about what you want to accomplish.

No pressure, no sales pitch. A conversation about your goals and whether this is the right fit.

If it is, we'll talk about what training together would look like. If it isn't, you'll leave with a clearer sense of what you're actually looking for.
